Teddy Bears are Ready to go to Work!!
As a church we are always looking for neat and creative ways to minister to real needs of the community around us. This ministry seeks to help provide to local fire departments “Mementoes of Hope” to children undergoing emotional crisis.
Our Goal is to provide new 12″ to 14″ Teddy Bears to pac in Fire Trucks and Abulances and disturb as a symbol of hope, our churches cancer, care, and God’s love.
The Bears have invaded our church and are currently worshipping and learning with us. Children of all ages are welcome to hod, guy, and squeeze our Teddy Bears. They are a special part of our congregation, destined to be a beacon of hope in the life of a child facing crisis. In order to keep them safe, they must remain in the special bags. While you invite them to play with you while at church, PLEASE keep the bears in their safe bags.
Each Bear has a story! If you provide the bear you are encouraged to let us know his/her name and while he/she is with us his story will unfold.
Here is Alfred’s story: “My name is Alfred and I was donated to LifeSpring Community Church by Kit as part of their Teddy Bear ministry; he named me too. I have been sitting at LSCC for several weeks now, listening to Pastor John Baker’s sermons, the music of the worship team, and the joys, concerns, and prayers of my congregational family. Now that I’ve been blessed, it is my turn to complete the mission – to comfort someone special like you. My goal is to give you hope and comfort in your time of need. I am lovable, huggable, and a good listener (just like when you talk to all the important adults in you life). My church family wants you to feel that you are loved by God and cared about by others. I know I will be a blessing to you Your Friend, Alfred”
